Here is a very collectible Bols Jenever decanter of a Dutch man sometimes referred to as either Delftware or Gouda. He is holding 2 bottles of Bols, one under each arm and he is wearing traditional Dutch clothes.
In excellent condition with very little wear. I also have the woman for sale.
The cork that fits around the stem under the head is stuck inside with the head attached.
Factory Marks are under one shoe (klompen), "made in Holland" in black. Under the other shoe, the Zenith mark and painter's initials, which I can't make out.
The Dutch man is 10-1/2-in Tall, 3-1/2-in Wide.
The company, Lucas Bols Distillery was established in 1575 and therefore is the oldest Dutch distillery still active.
Bols probably started using Zenith to make their decanters around 1940 until 1984 because that is when Zenith Pottery closed it's doors.
