Offered is a wonderful cow by the famous De Porceleyne Fles also known as Royal Delft. Instead of the typical blue and white, this cow is in colors called polychrome.
Hand painted in 1980 by R Koolhoven who worked at the factory from 1961 until 1996. That is 35 years!
The cow is in excellent condition. Just shy of 6 inches tall and about 8 - 3/4 inches long.
Polychrome is a multi-colored technique considered to be the successor of Italian Majolica, which was produced in the 16th and 17th centuries. This technique is decorated in yellow, green, blue and reddish brown.
I appreciate and thank you for taking the time to look. Have a wonderful day. .
