Here is an antique 1910 double inkwell or ink stand made by the famous Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles also known as Royal Delft. This is considered rare. The great price for this very collectible piece is because there is damage. The 2 little ink pots each has a small chip which does not show when the chips face the back. There is a large chip on the front as you can see in the pictures. Also, one pen rest has an old missing piece and the other pen rest needs to be glued back on but it is there as you can see. Still displays beautifully and a great bargain!
Obviously this useful item, in it's day had lots of use and probably well loved. The width is 7-1/4 inches, 4 inches tall and 4-3/4 inches deep.
Each piece made carries the full factory markings, which includes the factory mark, item number, artist's initials. The painter is Barend Willem Verhaagen who worked for the factory from 1895 to 1916.
