3 plates by the delftware maker, Ram. Each plate has a 9-in Diameter and is 1-3/8-in Tall.
These blue and white deep dish dinner plates are of high quality delftware and were painted between 1935 and 1945. Lovely flowers all around the raised edge and one in the middle. The back has the mark for N.V Plateelbakkerij Ram along with the artist's initials. These dinner plates are also usually numbered and it appears 2 of these plates have the same painter's initials.
For the age, in very good condition with some light utensil marks, except for one plate which has a tiny chip on the rim. The last 2 pictures show the one tiny flake chip. The 3 plates weigh almost 3 pounds before packing.
The Ram factory was started in 1921 and made highly decorated pottery similar to Gouda and Rozenburg pottery. The company went bankrupt in 1935 but continued under new ownership until 1945. The company made very good to high quality blue and white delftware from 1935 to 1945.
I appreciate and thank you for taking the time to look. Have a wonderful day. .
